The Shorthand of Old Friends

No need to explain.

No need to hold back.

When old friends get together, there is an unknown “shorthand” used – that’s what makes it seem as if you’ve never been apart! It’s the shorthand of old friends.

 “They talked in the shorthand of old friends and shared memories.”

At the End of the Day

Some of the best days of my life seemed to end this way; I suspect some of yours has also:

“At the end of the day, your feet should be dirty, your hair messy and your eyes sparkling.”

At the End of the Day

Those are the times I still recall.

Wake Up Friend

Wake up, friend…

“Midnight is another planet!
When the clock strikes twelve
and if you are asleep,
wake up, friend,
and discover the beauties of this new planet:
Discover the silence; discover the tranquility;
speak to the owls, speak to the moon;
greet the hedgehogs and disappear in the midst of the mists!”

Maybe It’s OK If I’m Not OK

One late night after I struggled to fall asleep because of worrying about a close friend, the decision was made to find something that would hopefully ease their mind. So, I created this meme and read and showed it to them the following day. It was like an epiphany to them and if for nothing more than that day, all was OK in the world for them. They have thanked me for giving it to them, and I’ve since learned, that whenever all is not OK, they refer to it as a reminder.

As most memes go (quote images), this quote is not mine. It’s a part of the song lyrics from Maybe It’s OK by We Are Messengers. Thanks go out to them for writing it.

Perhaps, just perhaps, this meme was intended for you as well!

Maybe It’s OK If I’m Not OK

“Maybe it’s ok if I’m not ok

‘Cause the One who holds the world is holding onto me

Maybe it’s all right if I’m not all right

‘Cause the One who holds the stars is holding my whole life.”

~ from the song Maybe It’s OK by We Are Messengers
